Ariellah’s: Darker Still: Saturday 11:00am-1:00pm.

“Darker Still~ Fusion Belly Dance Combinations and Choreography”

~Learn Ariellah‘s unique style of belly dance by working with her on dark fusion belly dance combinations and choreography. The workshop includes a yoga infused warm up and repetitive drilling of dark fusion infused belly dance combinations. Students will possibly learn a short choreography that infuses the combinations learned in the workshop. 2 hours.

Edenia Archuleta: Saturday 1:30pm-3:30pm

“Fusion Popping Combos”:

~Begin with deep conditioning warm up and short review of contracting muscles. We will be focusing on how to create combos for these two styles, understanding smooth transitions and infusing speed transitions. This workshop is for all levels but belly dance experience is required. Please bring dance shoes or socks. 2 hours.

"Love Your Partners™ - The Butterfly Effect...  (Creative Concepts in American Tribal Style® Bellydance)"  with Politti: Saturday 4:00-6:00pm

"...the sensitive dependency on initial conditions in which a small change at one place in a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state..."

Join Politti as she takes the basic and makes it extraordinary!  In this adventure filled class, we will explore alternative formations, elegant fades, creative combos and signature Strawberry Butterfly presentation of ATS® fast steps and slow moves.  Politti will share some of her Strawberry Butterfly creative favorites that are sure to thrill and delight every ATS® dancer, and will give you the tools and inspiration you need to create your own. Designed for dancers already in the ATS® groove familiar with FCBD® ATS® DVDs 1, 4, 7 and 9. Bring zils, a notebook, and a smile.

Sandi Ball and Wendy Allen; an ATS® Workshop Sunday 10:00am-12:00pm.

“The power and the glory”:

Power duets and glorious groups is the focus of this workshop. Learn about various formations designed for specific performance spaces, graceful transitions between them and working as a team to create a varied and dramatic group presentation. We’ll also focus on how to make your duets packed with action and adventure! This is a secondary to intermediate workshop. So it is required to have the Fundamentals and is helpful to have a good understanding of general lead and follow concepts. 2 Hours

Elizabeth Fish aka “Super Beth” of Tamarind Tribal Belly Dance: Sunday 12:30pm-2:30 pm

“Super Beth” “Fan Club” Short Fans:

~A new concept to the ATS® repertoire, introduced to the ATS® community by “Super Beth” at the 2014 Homecoming. Fan work is an excellent way to add a bit of spark and color to any set. Easily adapted to any dance style, “Super Beth” will show you how to handle and hold a large dance fan, and will lead you through a series of fast steps that will showcase the colorful props. For this workshop you will need two silk flutter fans for both the right and left hands. These are short fans, not the long “fan veils”. Here is an example: http://www.silk-bamboo.com/72-30cm-bamboo10cm-silkflutter. Dancers should be familiar with FCBD ATS® DVDs 1, 4, 7 and 9. Dancers may take this workshop even if you do not have fans available to you to use in this workshop. 2 hours.

Jennifer Nolan of Tamarind Tribal Belly Dance: Sunday 3:00pm-5:00pm

“Tamarind Tricks Part 2”:

In this workshop we will review some of Tamarind’s own Movement Dialect: “Happy Goat”, “Rebel Egyptian”, “Slow Diagonal Fade”, etc., along with a few new moves, fades and creative staging concepts that are as thrilling to watch as they are to perform. Dancers should be comfortable with L1 and L2 ATS® vocabulary, circling and fading and should be very confident taking lead. 2 Hours.
